The ingredients used in conventional cosmetics are synthetic molecules that are created from petrol,
for economic reasons. As it is expensive to grow and pick plants from which the active ingredients
are extracted, the active principles are simply copied, using industrial procedures.
However, these “copies” are not always safe to use as they do not contain the same constituents
as natural plants, which are far too complex to be inexpensively reproduced.
In fact, these reproductions are simply inaccurate representations that do not contain
the constituents that come in smaller quantities. Yet, these components play an essential role,
as they help prevent side effects and guarantee healthy and harmonious assimilation.
After years of applying conventional cosmetics to the skin, who knows what types of unpleasant surprises
we will find? This is also the case concerning the negative consequences on the environment, due to the
manufacturing process (effluents) and the excessive waste after product use (shampoos & cleansing products,
for example).
Certified organic products ensure respect for mankind and our environment as they use an inimitable and
well-balanced complexity of natural raw materials !
An overview of organic cosmetics :
Respect for mankind :
In addition to the absence of chemical substances and pollutants (pesticides, synthetic chemical fertilizers,
GMO…) used during cultivation, organically certified cosmetic products are extremely rich as they contain a wide
range of active ingredients.
Traceability and safety :
As conventional cosmetics are not controlled by third party organizations, manufacturers often make economically
minded choices that are not necessarily focused on product quality or in the best interest of consumers...
Ingredients are written in small letters and in a technical language that is not well understood by the public.
The products claim to contain such or such natural extract, whereas most of the time, they contain only very little
or practically none at all.
On the other hand, organic cosmetics are rigorously controlled by organizations, such as Ecocert and Qualité France
both in terms of ingredients and labeling. This allows for the traceability of ingredients and manufacturing
processes, and guarantees both the authenticity and quantity of the Organic products used, which are clearly
written on the label.
Environmental protection :
Organic farming is a method of production that respects biodiversity and natural balance. When you buy organically
certified products, you actively support this farming practice and help improve the quality of water, soil and air,
leading to a decrease in the production of petrochemical products !
The richness of organically certified products :
Nature offers us a highly diverse range of ingredients. Each ingredient, whether it comes from plants or minerals,
has numerous and specific properties. This natural diversity allows us to create a wide range of effective products
that respect the balance in Nature and our body.
Animal protection :
Animal extracts or tests conducted on animals are prohibited in Organic cosmetics. Only ingredients derived from
animal production (with no effect on the animal’s health, such as honey, for example), are authorized.
